Kacey.

Kacey’s wedding took me somewhere completely different—Hadsham Farm in Banbury, Oxfordshire, a dreamy countryside venue known for its glamping tipis, rustic charm, and open fields. If you imagine relaxed festival vibes mixed with elegant boho styling, this place is exactly that.

The moment I arrived, I was greeted by warm sunshine (and a few curious sheep wandering the drive!)—the perfect start to what became such a beautiful wedding morning.

A DIY Tipi Wedding Filled with Personality

Kacey and her family had poured love into every detail and DIY’d the entire venue, transforming the tipi area into a vibrant, floral celebration. From the huge bespoke floral arch to the soft lighting and hand-crafted touches, every corner looked magical.

Despite the rustic outdoor setting, the “glamping glam” prep area was wonderfully practical—a cosy cabin with full electrics, a huge mirror, and a spacious wooden surface ideal for organising all my hairstyling kit.

Bridal Party Hair Styling: 4 Gorgeous Looks

I had four lovely ladies to get ready:

  • Kacey (the Bride)

  • Her Mum

  • Two Bridesmaids

Each hairstyle was chosen to complement their outfits, personalities, and the relaxed countryside theme.

Mother of the Bride: Elegant Side Bun

Kacey’s mum opted for a voluminous side bun, a style that offered elegance while still feeling soft and modern.

Bridesmaids: Soft Waves with Pin Curls

Both bridesmaids wore classic waves, which I set in pin curls before dressing them out into flowing, polished shapes—perfect for a boho tipi wedding.

The Bride: A Timeless Curly Updo

Kacey wore a curly updo, a style we had trialled in my Aylesbury home salon. It framed her face beautifully while keeping her hair secure throughout the warm, sunny day.

Although the venue had a relaxed, rustic feel, Kacey brought her own contrast of elegance with a timeless lace mermaid dress complete with a delicate veil. The combination of boho surroundings and classic bridal styling worked perfectly.

Picture-Perfect Moments at Hadsham Farm

The lovely Gemma Randall Photography captured the day effortlessly. The shots across the rolling Oxfordshire scenery, the tipi backdrop, and the floral décor were absolutely stunning. Kacey looked radiant in every image—her hair, dress, and smile all glowing in the golden countryside light.

A Final Note to Kacey

Kacey, it was an absolute pleasure to be your wedding hairstylist. Your vision for the day was thoughtful, creative, and beautifully “you.” Thank you for trusting me to be part of such a special moment—you looked truly gorgeous.
