Elsa.

Elsa’s wedding day was the perfect blend of intimacy, personality, and countryside charm. Surrounded by her nearest and dearest, she said her vows in a beautiful church nestled in the Chiltern Hills countryside, before heading back to her mum’s home in Longwick for a gorgeous garden wedding breakfast. The celebrations continued into the evening with a relaxed reception at the lovely Dinton Hermit in Dinton.

A Morning Filled With Laughter and Love

Despite the intimate guest list, Elsa’s bridal party was full of life — the bride, her mum, and four bridesmaids. Lauren and I arrived bright and early at Elsa’s mum’s house to begin the morning preparations. The atmosphere was calm but full of excitement, with the girls doing their own makeup and putting the finishing touches on the marquee in the garden, ready for the wedding breakfast.

We loved all the thoughtful, personal details — from the homemade décor to the stunning flowers created by the groom’s mum, which added the most beautiful touch of colour and love to the day.

Bridal Party Hair Styling

The first bridesmaid chose a timeless Hollywood wave, which looked incredible with her thick blonde hair. While Lauren worked her magic on the bride’s mum, giving her our signature volumising blow dry and setting her hair in rollers, I began styling the bridesmaids’ curls.

Bridesmaid number two opted for a sleek low ponytail with soft waves, while the remaining two bridesmaids went for elegant half-up, half-down styles — perfect for the relaxed countryside setting.

Elsa’s Boho Bridal Hair

By the time we were ready to style Elsa, she’d finished setting up the garden and had her makeup beautifully done. With the sun shining and a fan close at hand, Lauren and I tag-teamed her bridal curls before finishing her half-up, half-down hairstyle with a delicate twists and her veil.

During the trial, Elsa had mentioned wanting to include flowers in her hair and had ordered some faux blooms online. But on the day, they just didn’t feel quite right. Then came a lightbulb moment — I suggested we use some of the stunning wildflowers from the marquee, arranged by the groom’s mum. With a little bit of wire and creativity, we transformed her look into the most beautiful boho bridal hairstyle, full of natural texture and colour.

A Relaxed and Joyful Morning

It was one of those mornings that reminded us exactly why we love what we do. Everyone was so welcoming — by the end, it felt like Lauren and I were part of the family.

Thank you, Elsa, for trusting us to be part of your special day. You looked absolutely stunning, and your photos are a true reflection of the love and happiness that filled your wedding
