Faye.
Some weddings stay with you forever — and Faye’s was one of them. This beautiful day was filled with love, strength, and emotion from start to finish.
Faye is my husband’s cousin, and at just 23, she was diagnosed with cancer. Despite her difficult journey, she and her partner Marshall — together for five years — found a reason to celebrate life and love. Marshall proposed on a holiday to Mexico, and in true Faye style, she planned the most incredible wedding in just eight months. Every single detail was considered and executed perfectly.
Preparing for the Big Day
Faye sent me a voice note asking if I would style the hair for her four bridesmaids and her mum at The Spread Eagle Hotel in Oxfordshire. At the time, she wasn’t sure what her own hair situation would be due to chemotherapy, but everything came together beautifully when she received a stunning wig from The Little Princess Trust — a wonderful charity that provides wigs for children and young adults experiencing hair loss. I now proudly support and fundraise for them.
Creating the Perfect Hollywood Wave
Faye chose a timeless Hollywood wave bridal hairstyle — elegant, glamorous, and full of classic red-carpet beauty. I spent two days in my Buckinghamshire salon preparing her wig to ensure it looked completely natural and flawless on the day.
The wedding morning was full of joy: matching PJs, flowing prosecco, and a playlist that set the perfect vibe. My assistant Lauren joined me to help with styling, as I was also a guest later that day. There were heartfelt gift exchanges, a few happy tears, and so much laughter.
A Morning Filled with Love
Once all the bridesmaids and Faye’s mum were ready, it was time to style and place Faye’s wig — and wow, what a vision she was. When she looked in the mirror, the room filled with emotion. The rest of the day followed in the same spirit: joyful, heartwarming, and full of love.
I have honestly never felt so much emotion and positivity in one room. It was an honour to be part of Faye’s wedding morning and to see her radiate confidence, beauty, and grace. She embodied everything a bride should be — happy, calm, and truly glowing from within.
