Holly & Bex.
All weddings are special, but every now and then, one comes along that feels a little bit extra special.
Especially when not one, but two of your clients are getting married… to each other!
I first met Holly in the salon through another bride whose wedding hair I had created back in 2024. It wasn’t long before Holly became one of my regular clients, and before too long, Bex had joined the salon girl gang too.
So when Holly proposed to Bex, I was absolutely thrilled for them. And when they asked me to be part of their wedding days as their bridal hairstylist, I was even more excited.
But there was a little extra twist…
They weren’t having one wedding.
They were having TWO!
Two brides, two celebrations, two completely different wedding days and two opportunities for me to create beautiful bridal hair for them both.
And honestly, I couldn’t have been more excited.
Wedding number one: Beaconsfield Registry Office
Their first wedding took place in June 2026, with their legal ceremony at Beaconsfield Registry Office, followed by an intimate reception at Browns.
There was just one tiny issue…
It happened to be the hottest day in British history.
Cue the air conditioning.
Both girls were getting ready at one of their bridesmaids’ homes in High Wycombe, and bless Lauren, she had come prepared. She had bought an air conditioning unit AND a brand-new fan in an attempt to keep everyone cool.
Despite her absolute best efforts, it was safe to say it was a rather sweaty morning!
But that didn’t stop us from having a gorgeous morning together. We were surrounded by Lauren, their bridesmaid, Holly’s sister-in-law and Holly’s mum, with all the excitement, nerves, laughter and emotion you’d expect on a wedding morning.
Two brides, two bridal hairstyles
Bex went first, showcasing her gorgeous new colour, and opted for a romantic half-up, half-down bridal hairstyle.
We incorporated neat twists through the hair and finished the style with beautiful, glitzy hair pins. The result was elegant and feminine while still feeling like Bex.
Then it was Holly’s turn.
Holly had also originally opted for a half-up, half-down style, but with temperatures continuing to rise, she made a last-minute decision to slick everything back away from her face.
And honestly, I think it was the perfect choice for the day!
We created a modern crossover detail through the two sections and styled her veil into place, creating a sleek and effortless bridal look while helping to keep her as cool as possible.
Sometimes you have to adapt the wedding hair plan when the British weather decides to throw a 30-degree curveball at you!
Despite being absolutely boiling, the girls told me they had the most gorgeous day surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
There were tears during the speeches, plenty of laughter and all the emotion you could hope for from such an intimate celebration. It was every bit as personal and special as they had hoped it would be.
And then…
We did it all again.
Wedding number two: Rave to the Grave
Fast forward to the very next day, and the vibe could not have been more different.
For wedding number two, Holly and Bex headed to The Barn in Bierton and hosted their very own celebration: Rave to the Grave.
Because, quite frankly, why have one traditional wedding when you can have two completely different weddings?!
The theme was a rave, and all of their guests were asked to dress in black, with the music following the theme throughout the evening.
And these two did not hold back on the details.
They created all of their own décor, including a gorgeous disco ball mirror and a shot wall, transforming the venue into the perfect setting for their second celebration.
It was completely them.
Completely different wedding hair
Despite it STILL being ridiculously hot, the girls had a little more luck with the weather this time around.
Because the party was in the evening, temperatures had dropped slightly and, thankfully, the venue had air conditioning!
Holly opted for a sleek slick-back bun, keeping her hair completely off her face and creating a chic, modern look that worked perfectly with the rave theme.
Bex, meanwhile, wore her gorgeous short bob down, styled with soft beachy waves.
Two very different hairstyles, but both completely suited to the girls and the vibe of their second wedding day.
And that’s one of my favourite things about working with brides who aren’t afraid to do things their own way. Your wedding hair doesn’t have to fit into a particular mould. It should reflect you, your personality and the day you’ve created.
From wedding dresses to an actual rave…
The evening was everything you would expect from Holly and Bex.
There was dancing, singing and plenty of celebrating with all their favourite people.
But in true Holly and Bex fashion, the night didn’t end when the wedding did.
At the end of the evening, they got into a taxi…
And headed to an actual rave.
Still in their wedding attire.
Honestly, I couldn’t think of a more perfect ending for them!
Two weddings. Two completely different celebrations. Two different bridal hairstyles.
And somehow, both were completely and utterly them.
Two gorgeous brides, two very special days
Holly and Bex are two of the most gorgeous girls individually, but somehow even better together.
It was such a privilege to be trusted with both of their wedding days and to be there for not just one, but two mornings of excitement, nerves, laughter and wedding hair!
As a wedding hairstylist, I feel incredibly lucky that my job allows me to become part of such important moments in people’s lives. From the quiet moments getting ready with family and friends to the chaos of keeping everyone cool on one of the hottest days imaginable, I love every bit of it.
Thank you both for entrusting me with not one, but both of your wedding days.
I hope you know just how special it was to be there for you.
Sending you both all the love in the world for your future together.
And if your wedding plans are a little bit different, a little bit unconventional or even involve two weddings and a rave…
I’m absolutely here for it. 🤍
