The lovely Beth booked me what felt like a lifetime before her wedding day! When we first spoke, she was in the early stages of pregnancy with her first baby — and by the time the big day arrived, her beautiful daughter was eight months old. It was such a special full-circle moment to see her celebrating surrounded by family and love.
The Venue
The wedding was held at one of my all-time favourite venues — The Kings Chapel in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. Every wedding I’ve had the pleasure of styling there has been picture-perfect. The Amersham High Street setting gives the most beautiful backdrop for photos — timeless architecture, rustic charm, and elegant lighting that never fails to deliver 10/10 shots.
The Morning Prep
Lauren and I had quite the busy morning ahead with one bride, five bridesmaids, and the mother of the groom. The bridal party got ready in a gorgeous townhouse right on Amersham High Street, and by the time we arrived at 8 a.m., the celebrations were already in full swing!
It was a lively, laughter-filled morning — the kind of atmosphere that makes wedding prep such a joy. Despite the busy schedule, everything ran perfectly to time (a hairstylist’s dream!).
The Hairstyles
Each bridesmaid had a slightly different look, but they all tied together beautifully with boho-inspired updos and soft twists — relaxed, romantic, and full of movement.
Beth’s bridal hair was, of course, the star of the show. During her preview appointment, we trialled two styles, and on the day we decided to combine the best of both — a bespoke, textured design that perfectly complemented her dress and the overall feel of her wedding.
When we left the girls, everything was running smoothly — the air filled with laughter (and a touch of hairspray!).
The Results
When Beth sent over her photos, they were simply stunning. The historic market town of Amersham made for the perfect daytime backdrop, while the twinkling lights at Kings Chapel set the mood for an elegant, magical evening.
